The summer blockbusters you should be looking forward to

Not only does the summer bring sun, warm weather and shorts, it also brings Hollywood movie blockbusters so we don’t have to worry about any of that.  2015 is looking to be a big year for big movies and we’ve got the rundown of the 10 movies you need to see this summer (in no particular order):

The Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1)

What better way to start this list off than with the most highly anticipated super hero movie of the year. The Avengers: Age of Ultron sees the likes of Captain America (Chris Evens), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Christ Hemsworth) and the rest of the team taking on Ultron (voiced by James Spader), a sentient robot that sees humanity as a virus and he is the cure.

Pitch Perfect 2 (May 15)

The surprise a capella hit is back, pitting Beca (Anna Kendrick) and Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) and The Bellas against a European singing squad that is sure to give them a run for their money.

Mad Max: Fury Road (May 15)

The movies that made Mel Gibson a huge box office draw in his heyday are back, this time featuring Tom Hardy in the titular role with George Miller directing what is sure to be a visually stunning ride through a future wasteland.

Spy (May 22)

Melissa McCarthy continues her movie hot streak with Spy. When the identities of the CIA’s spies get leaked to a known terrorist, McCarthy gets enlisted as the CIA’s newest spy.

Jurassic World (June 12)

A fully functioning amusement park filled with prehistoric reptiles and a genetically modified dino on the loose on a secluded island with thousands of people? What could go wrong? Apparently, quite a bit. Good thing they’ve got Chris Pratt and his raptor squad on the case.

Entourage (June 5)

And you thought we were done with Vinny Chase and his boys. Entourage is returning with a big movie blowout that is sure to have a lot of entertaining cameos. And, on the even brighter side, we get to see Ari Gold again.

Magic Mike XXL (July 1)

Let’s face it, it doesn’t matter what’s written here. You’re going to watch this movie. Ladies, get ready to salivate. Gentleman, take notes, Channing Tatum is dancing.

Poltergeist (July 24)

A horror movie in the summer? Sure, why not! For those who don’t know, Poltergeist is a remake of a 1982 horror classic that follows a family whose home becomes haunted by ghosts. So what might make this movie better than the original? Two things: Sam Rockwell is in the movie and it’s produced by horror expert Sam Raimi.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (August 14)

What’s old is new again in Hollywood. A remake of a 1960s television show of the same name, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. has a lot going for it with British actor Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) playing an American Spy and Armie Hammer (The Social Network) playing a Russian spy who must team together to stop a common threat. Plus, with Guy Ritchie directing you can expect movie that’s full of action, funny and incredibly stylized good time.

Straight Outta Compton (August 14)

This will probably be one of the biggest movies of the summer. The trailer itself looks like it’s going to give a true glimpse into what it was like being one of the biggest rap groups during one of the most turbulent times in America.
