2015-16 NBA Season Forecast

The NBA season starts next week Tuesday (October 27, 2015) and we are here to give you the scoop on what will go down this season and our predictions.

The offseason had a lot of stories that transpired with all the acquisitions, trades and players coming back from injury. The 2015-16 season will be very exciting to watch as the competition looks like it has reached new heights.

Canada’s team also known as The Toronto Raptors have made some minor improvements to their roster. Their biggest acquisition for the Raptors was upgrading the 3 spot small forward position. The Raptors landed DeMarre Carroll who had played his best season last year with the Atlanta Hawks. Carroll’s ability to defend the 3 spot and his 3 point range will definitely help the Raptors this season when they go up against the likes of a LeBron, Carmelo or Durant. However, the Raptors did lose a key player in Lou Williams who was the 6-man of the year last season. Even though they acquired Cory Joseph to fill in the void, Lou Williams’s skillset is greatly better than Joseph’s. That being said, the Raptors should slightly be better than last year.

Let’s be real…there are only two teams that are legitimate contenders to make it to the NBA finals in the Eastern Conference and that is last season runner-up the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat.

The Cavs have retained all of their key players from last season, with Kevin Love, JR Smith, Matthew Dellavedova and Triston Thompson, whom the Cavs have recently given the most ridiculous contract to. All are staying alongside LeBron and Kyrie. It is obvious that the Cavs are much stronger if they can stay healthy. On top of that, the Cavs brought back Mo Williams who has had many great years playing alongside with LeBron. Until LeBron James retires or gets hit with a serious injury, the team will always be in contention to make it to the NBA finals.

The Miami Heat are back! And they are stronger than ever with big changes in the roster. The additions of Gerald Green, Amar’e Stoudimre and Justise Winslow are big key pieces that the Heat have included to an already impressive roster. The bench and starting line-up of the Heat was definitely setup by the front office to go up against the Cavs.

The Western Conference will be a blood bath yet again. Spurs improved, Clippers improved, Rockets improved and Memphis has improved. The Warriors and Thunder didn’t make any significant change this offseason, however they and all of the teams mentioned above all have a shot to win the title this year. Scary, isn’t it?

As for Kobe Bryant and the Lakers, the team has made some tweaks in their roster by adding Roy Hibbert, Brandon Bass and Lou Williams. But when you look at the teams they are going up against in the West, you kind of have to feel sorry for Kobe as it looks like this is his Farewell Tour.

Anthony Davis. Yes, we are going to hear a lot about this guy this coming season. AD is the only player who is able to guard all four positions, his post-game is the best in the league, he will lead the league in block shots, and he will lead the league in FG percentage. Davis will be this year’s MVP winner. He might not win the championship this year but mark my words when I say that this man’s time is coming soon and the whole world better watch out.
